What is the Centris Asset Management System?
The Centris Asset Management System is an online test information database.
How does it work?
When an item of equipment has been tested (either as a routine scheduled test
or after a repair) the results are uploaded to our website and are available to
view by registered users who can then see the test results of all recorded plant.
What does it cost?
There is an initial registration fee, a set-up charge for each item and a test
fee - on-site testing is subject to an additional call-out charge.
What are the benefits?
This online management system allows registered users to access test information
from any PC with internet access. Users can quickly determine the test status
of an item and ascertain its next scheduled test date. Each plant record has a
unique user reference field that might contain the customer's own plant number
or show the keeper's name, allowing rapid location of equipment due for re-test.
How long does it take?
Test results are uploaded weekly.
What areas are covered?
On-site testing is currently only available in South East England, however, plant
outside this area can be delivered directly to our workshop facility or we can
arrange collection of suitably packaged equipment.
What if it fails?
Electrical safety test failures can be returned to our in-house workshop facility
for repair. An estimate can be provided or a replacement can be quoted for if
the repair is uneconomical. Any machines which have not passed the electrical
safety test and are required back will be marked 'DO NOT USE'.
Why do I need it?
There is a legal obligation to maintain equipment to prevent danger. In the case
of electrical equipment this should include both visual inspection and electrical
safety testing. The frequency of testing is dependant on the type of equipment
and environment in which it is used; it is essential that test results are recorded
and equipment can be identified as being safe or unsafe.
In using the Centris Asset Management System you can ensure all plant is maintained
according to HSE directives.
